YouthBuild Lake County Services

YouthBuild Lake County Services is a separate program operated under the umbrella of the agency. Created in the spring of 2010, it currently operates by bidding on construction jobs for other non-profit entities and affordable housing agencies. YBLC Services has completed several projects for both the Lake County Housing Authority and Lake County Residential Development Corporation.

Bidding only on jobs that conform to YBLC’s mission for youth and affordable housing, YBLC Services projects range from vacant unit turnaround to new construction. Graduates of our other programs are often employed to further their on-the-job training experience. Our Construction Superintendent, Bob Everett, uses these projests to provide On-the-Job-Training in an actual job environment. YBLC Services’ program will give the trainees marketable skills that will make them more attractive hires for private contractors.
