To apply for a YouthBuild Lake County Program, please fill out the YBLC Application and bring it into our office Monday- Friday 9:00am- 3:00pm.

YouthBuild Lake County is a drug free program! All applicants and participants are subject to random drug screening.

Below you will find the eligibility requirements for the programs we are currently accepting applications for:

YouthBuild

Applicants must:

• Be 18 years old by graduation, which is usually the first week of June.
• Be 24 years of age or less when the program begins in mid August.
• Have a photo ID, Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card.
• Be able to meet and provide documentation for one of the following requirements
  • Be an adult offender
  • Be a youth offender
  • Be low income
  • Have aged out of foster care
  • Have an incarcerated parent

Bridge to Unions

Applicants must:

• Be 18 years old by enrollment.
• Be 26 years of age or less when the program begins in mid August.
• Have a photo ID, Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card.
• Be able to obtain a valid drivers license by graduation.
• Be part of a historically hard to serve population (minorities, women, previously incarcerated, low income, homeless, unemployed for at least 2 years)

Bridge to College

Applicants must:

• Be between the ages of 19- 21 at the time of enrollment which begins in mid August.
• Have a photo ID, Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card.
• Have an interest in Manufacturing and a desire to attend college classes
• Be considered as a low income youth as defined by The Workforce Investment Board.
